Interested in the latest reading, listening and viewing technology? The Library is the place to come. We can show you a range of popular devices, guide you in using them and send you home with a device to try.

Video Tablets

NetflixWe are now lending Video Tablets!  Borrow one for 21 days and try out streaming video from:

  • Netflix, Crackle
  • CBC, National Film Board, Internet Archive
  • Qello Concerts

For those who don't have access to wifi, they also have a small selection of downloaded movies.

West Vancouver Memorial Library was the first Library in Canada to lend e-readers. Our Kindles each have 15 titles for you to enjoy. Choose from:

We also have six Kids and Teen Kindles with over 100 titles each including the Harry Potter series, Big Nate, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Book Thief.

You can borrow a Kindle for 21 days. They come with basic instructions but if you have questions, we're happy to help.

With so many e-readers and tablets on the market, it can be confusing to know which one is right for you. To help with your decision-making, we have a variety of devices for you to try and compare. Ask us to show you them – at the Main Floor Information Desk, in the Youth Department and in the Community Computing Centre.

Ipad Learn & Loan

Each month we offer a hands-on iPad class for beginners. At the end of the class, you can borrow an ipad for two weeks. Interested? Inquire in the Community Computing Centre.
